Hook-Type Shot Blasting Machine is an industrial cleaning system designed for surface treatment of individual components or small batches. Its core working principle revolves around using centrifugal force to propel small metallic abrasives, known as shot, at high velocity against the workpiece's surface.

The process begins with the workpiece, such as a casting or forging, being securely hung from a motorized hook. This hook transports the part into the fully enclosed blast chamber. Inside, a high-speed rotating wheel called an impeller accelerates the abrasive media, creating a dense, uniform stream that impacts the entire surface of the suspended, slowly rotating workpiece. This impact effectively removes contaminants like rust, scale, sand, and old paint, while also imparting a beneficial compressive stress layer that improves fatigue strength.

After blasting, the hook carries the workpiece to a separate compartment for cleaning. Here, a recycling system separates the reusable abrasive from the removed dust and debris, which is collected for disposal. The cleaned workpiece is then unloaded, leaving a clean, matte-finish surface ready for subsequent coating or further processing. This machine is particularly valued for its flexibility in handling a wide variety of part shapes and sizes without the need for complex fixturing.
